As you look deeper into the valley, the enchanting views captivate your imagination. The tall deodar trees forever competing for sunlight reach up higher and higher into the skies. They provide a sanctuary to a range of wildlife. At daybreak, the first rays of the rising Sun are greeted with the melodious songs of the beautiful Black Bird. At times a cheerful troop of black langurs with shiny silvery coats flitting jumping, leaping and swinging around from branch to branch provide a feast to the eyes. One can only look in awe at the everchanging and vibrant canvas of mother nature at its helm. Clear sunny days alternate with cloudy climes. Often times, the mist is carried along the gales of wind that travel up the meadows and the spurs of the gently undulating mountains into the main lounge of the villa through the open windowpanes only to subtly touch your face enlightening your senses and leaving you enticed with an unforgettable rendezvous with nature.
At other times, thunderstorms and rainy days cast the skies grey and close to Christmas, fresh snow fall transforms the lodging and the surrounding vistas into a fairyland of white.
Cora Path
The villa is with good grace located on the Cora path that circumambulates around the temple and palace of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The holy chanting of Tibetan Mantras and interminable turning of the prayer wheels by the monks and disciples along the path elevate the energy levels of the villa and its surroundings. The aura of the place is blissful and inspiring. It is a perfect place for a refreshing morning walk or simply an evening stroll by oneself! It is a place to prompt, inspire and spark up one’s imagination – a perfect haven for writers, poets, painters, spiritualists, meditators, serious students, nature lovers, campers or adventure seekers. The imposing façade of the The Horizon Villa with its majestic Greek Pillars, slanting ridged roof, chequered glazed panes and a central balcony with large glass bay windows on both sides overlooking the valley are simply magnificent. Its exquisite architecture invokes the old-world charm of colonial times.
This Chateau rests at the far end of the mountain range away from the noise and din of the town yet it is a walking distance to the central square and an array of fancy restaurants that line up the streets of McLeod Ganj.

Interior Decor
As guest check into the Horizon North, they are delightfully consumed by the imposing architecture having elements of wood, slate and stone. They also get to witness a glimpse of the culture and ecosystem of the country life of the hill station of Mcleodganj through the very enchanting and encapsulating elements of paintings by acclaimed painter Alfred Hallet born 1914 in England and Elsbeth Boshmann of Germany which are displayed at various sections of the villa. Their paintings feature picturesque external vistas like green meadows, low pine grooved hills and snow clad mountains and sunny views. The inside decor and touch feel very subtly blend and merge into the external vistas and transport guests into tranquility. When guests actually undertake a walk through the streets or a trek through the winding roads and side lanes up to the town of Dharmkot, they can actually step into the shoes and spirit of Hallet and Elsbeth Bucshmann and witness the beauty of The Himalyan Paradise through their eyes.
Ropeway
The skyway travel provides mesmerizing and scenic views of the town’s Dharamshala and Mcleod Ganj and the surrounding vistas. It is a feast to the eyes to witness the cable cars travelling up hill and downhill from the main balcony of the property.
